Like many horse owners, farmer and dog walkers up and down the country we are fed up of the rain!
Having rained for what feels like every day for the past 3 months everything is sodden. Our summer fields are sporting a nice new pond and the everything is muddy! But heyho that’s horses in Winter.
Thankfully everyone is simply getting on with it. The foals are fluffy and enjoying coming in each night to a nice warm barn with a big straw bed and unlimited hay. Getting them to go out in the morning can be a challenge and who can blame them.
We are incredibly lucky to have a large yard that we can bring horses into when the weather is very poor. Here is Midnight and her pal enjoying a big bale of hay on a winter morning. Midnight is sporting a big hay belly but we are sure there is a foal in there somewhere as she enters her 7th month of pregnancy.
Do not worry – Spring is coming!
